Youth Program News: Goals should be straightforward and emphasize what you want to happen. Specifics help us to focus our efforts and clearly define what we are going to do.  To focus martial arts efforts at our academy and clearly define what our students are going to do in our martial arts program, we are using weekly goal charts.

Dear Potential DE Hapkido Client:


On behalf of all of us here at Delaware Hapkido, I extend my heartiest welcome to you. Martial arts training produces happier, healthier, and safer people. We are excited about the possibility of teaching you the unique martial art of hapkido.


Hapkido is a diverse Korean martial art which includes joint locks, pressure points, sweeps, throws, kicks, and other techniques. The mission of Delaware Hapkido is to provide a personally oriented martial arts experience, which instills a sense of pride through excellence, enabling each student to realize personal growth.

Like all martial art styles, becoming proficient with the various skills takes time and much practice. Our entry-level curriculum (Ki Do) helps students accomplish personal goals. Our academy goals are to provide students with opportunities to learn and demonstrate high moral character, self-discipline, self-identity, self-defense, and physical fitness.
